Iranian short ‘Muncher’ to compete in Turkey

Iran’s ‘Muncher’ is to compete at the 2020 Erzincan Int’l Short Film Festival in Turkey.

Iranian short flick ‘Muncher’ has been selected to compete at the second edition of the Erzincan International Short Film Festival (EISFF) in Turkey.

Directed by Navid Solati, the short film narrates the story of all things that are gradually destroyed by man.

According to Solati, while he was working on a previous project, he was inspired by a nearby location that was known as the grave of trains.

With the help of Karim Lakzadeh who wrote the screenplay, Solati started to make ‘Muncher’.

The cast of the film includes Babak Karimi, Alireza Mehran, Azadeh Moshashaee, and Alireza Labibian.

The short flick has previously been presented at the 36th Tehran International Short Film Festival and garnered the Best Cinematography award.

Launched in 2019, the EISFF hosts filmmakers around the world and holds workshops, screenings, and interviews.

The 2020 edition of the festival is slated for October 19-23.
